About the role

Visiting Research Scholar position in the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M AgriLife Research. The role focuses on insect chemical ecology, mechanisms and applications of plant-insect interactions, with lab, greenhouse, and field experimental work.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ongoing research projects in the lab focusing on insect chemical ecology and plant-insect interactions.
• Conduct lab, greenhouse, and field experimental work and analyze data.
• Prepare research reports and manuscripts.
• Develop and submit research proposals to funding agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Entomology or a related field.

Qualifications

• PhD in Entomology or a related field (preferred).
• Chemical ecology research skills and techniques.
• Experience with chemical/molecular ecology techniques, biological control of insects, and/or field research (preferred).
