About the role
The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences is seeking a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Visiting Instructor of Psychology. Position responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load (or its equivalent), with some service expectations. This position will be a 1-year appointment with a 9-month contract. Supervisor: This position reports to the Department Chair.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and upper division courses based upon the candidates expertise
- Engage in some service activities as assigned by the department
Requirements
This position requires a Ph.D. in Psychology. A strong ABD or Master’s degree will be considered, along with strong interest and ability in teaching undergraduate courses.

- Strong interest and ability in teaching undergraduate courses
- Upper division course expertise based on candidate’s area of specialization
