Visiting Instructor of Counseling

Responsibilities

• Teach courses (3/3) at the masters and doctoral-levels
• Teach across the CACREP curriculum, including clinical courses
• Advising students
• Engage with curriculum planning and development
• Engage in service assignments at the Department, School, and/or University level
• Engage in program accreditation
• Engage in professional leadership within the counseling profession

Requirements

• ABD or a doctorate in Counselor Education/Counseling (CACREP or CACREP equivalent)
• Eligibility for a Michigan license as a professional counselor and/or school counselor
• Teaching experience
• A strong ability to model and support diversity, equity, and inclusion principles within teaching, research, and service
• A strong teaching record in school counseling courses and core counseling courses
• A strong communication skills

Qualifications

• A doctorate in Counselor Education/Counseling (CACREP or CACREP equivalent)
• Absent degree (ABD) or a doctorate in Counselor Education/Counseling (CACREP or CACREP equivalent)
• Eligibility for a Michigan license as a professional counselor and/or school counselor
• Teaching experience
• A strong ability to model and support diversity, equity, and inclusion principles within teaching, research, and service
• A strong teaching record in school counseling courses and core counseling courses
• A strong communication skills
