Visiting Instructor ISE Department

About the role

A visiting faculty position with a general focus on Smart Manufacturing and related topics. The successful candidate will primarily contribute to teaching, curriculum development, and student engagement in areas aligned with smart and advanced manufacturing while supporting the department's mission in education, industry collaboration, and applied research in all areas of Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching and curriculum development in areas aligned with smart manufacturing
• Support student engagement and learning
• Collaborate with industry partners
• Participate in departmental activities and initiatives

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated expertise in smart manufacturing and general ISE topics
• Evidence of effective teaching or strong potential for excellence in teaching at the University level
• Experience with industry-relevant tools in smart manufacturing
• Experience in integrating real-world manufacturing problems into coursework

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in industrial and systems engineering
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students
