About the role

The Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre, Scenic and Lighting Design will contribute to the department’s curriculum and provide students with hands-on learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in scenic and lighting design
• Collaborate with faculty on departmental projects
• Develop and implement new course materials
• Participate in departmental and university committees

Requirements

• M.A. or M.F.A. in Theatre, Scenic and Lighting Design or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the college level
• Proven ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio demonstrating professional-level skills in scenic and lighting design
• Experience with digital design tools and software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
