Position Summary

Bowdoin College’s Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2026–2027 academic year. This one-year appointment begins July 1, 2026.

Qualifications

A PhD in Physics, Astronomy, or a related field is expected by the start date. The teaching load is two courses per semester, with a preference for applicants capable of teaching astronomy courses across all undergraduate levels.
