The Department of Economics at Washington College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Professor position beginning August of 2026. Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching is essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach three undergraduate courses per semester
• Student mentoring
• Contribute to department life through participation at events

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in economics, but individuals near degree completion will be considered
• Ability to teach to intermediate macroeconomics, introductory-level courses, and a mix of upper-level courses
• Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment, while interacting collaboratively as part of a team

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
