Visiting Artist, Penn State Berks
About the role
Penn State Berks, a college of the Pennsylvania State University near Reading, Pennsylvania, invites visual artists with an interest in college teaching and curating exhibitions on a college campus to apply for our artist-in-residence program for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Teach one general education studio art course to non-majors
- Mount one art exhibition (solo or group) in the Freyberger Art Gallery on the Berks campus per semester
- Develop a new or existing body of work
- Enhance the presence of the arts on the campus and connect with the community
Requirements
- A Master's of Fine Arts or master's degree in related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- University-level teaching experience

Pay
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $54,060.00 - $78,444.00.
Schedule
This position is funded for 12 months; continuation past 12 months will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
