About the Role

The Visitation Team Lead provides daily oversight of the Visitation Center’s operation, schedules and supervises visits for infants, toddlers, and children with their families, and ensures the center runs smoothly for court-referred and Dauphin County Children and Youth cases.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct client intakes and orientations for program participants.
  • Provide monitored visitation services for families referred through the court system and Dauphin County Children and Youth.
  • Document observations of the quality and content of contact between children and family during visits.
  • Maintain client files and casebook information in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Prepare reports as required, including recommendations for placement and visitation plan changes.
  • Intervene and terminate program services when necessary.
  • Assist the Chief Program Officer with preparation of funding reports and invoicing.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of community education brochures and materials.
  • Testify in dependency or termination court hearings as needed.
  • Provide service data to the Visitation Program Team Lead for billing and reporting.
  • Participate in continuing education and training on topics such as domestic violence, sexual assault, substance abuse, and anger management.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in social work, human services, or mental health field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Two years of experience in visitation, social work, and/or case management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Successful completion of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence training.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs; database experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a professional and respectful demeanor.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including some nights and weekend days.
  • State Police, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances required.

Schedule

  • 37.5-hour work week: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
  • On-call rotation as needed for Saturday coverage (8:30 AM–5:00 PM).

Pay

$21–$23 per hour, depending on experience.
