About the role

We are seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support students with vision impairments across school settings.

Responsibilities

• Providing specialized instruction in areas such as Braille, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology
• Developing individualized plans
• Collaborating with educational teams to enhance student outcomes
• Maintaining accurate documentation
• Participating in IEP meetings
• Staying current with best practices through professional development

Qualifications

• An Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator’s License with TVI endorsement
• Proficiency with relevant technology
