Vision Systems, Test Engineer, II
About the role
Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) Systems Integration and Test Department is seeking a Test & Integration System Engineer. In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers. This is an onsite role in Goleta, CA.
Responsibilities
- Support integration, verification and validation (IV&V), design verification testing (DVT), and production testing to support the delivery of EO/IR Focal Plane Array Sensor Systems
- Develop test plans and execute product test activities in support of engineering and production builds
- Develop and exercise good engineering judgement and technical decision making inside the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities organization
- Develop requirements, generate test procedures, integrate new systems, perform system testing, and support lifecycle requirements for assigned program systems
Qualifications
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience with integrating firmware, software, and hardware and power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters and/or spectrum analyzer. Experience with programming in LABVIEW and/or MATLAB for test automation and/or data analysis.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience performing and executing test methodology within an EO/IR Focal Plane Array system
- Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols
- Analytical capabilities, or an ability to relate observed phenomenon back to first principals
- Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis

Pay
The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Schedule
This is an onsite role in Goleta, CA. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
