About the role

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position following the school district's calendar. Immediate start dates are based on available placement opportunities upon completion of the application process.

Responsibilities

• Promote creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment
• Create strategies to engage and nurture student learning and student relationships
• Evaluate levels of speech and language
• Develop and execute treatment plans that address specific student needs
• Document sessions and record data on progress towards IEP goals
• Met with personnel at the school or district to transmit information about student progress

Requirements

• Master's degree (or higher) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• New York State SLP License issued by the NYS Education Department
• TSSLD Certification (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities)
• ASHA CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
• Must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions on any state license held
• Familiarity with NYSED's telepractice guidelines for delivering related services to students with disabilities (IEP/related-services compliance)
• Reliable, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform experience; strong tech setup (webcam, headset, stable internet, private workspace)
• Comfort collaborating remotely with classroom teachers, case managers, and families
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
