Job Summary
Seagull is seeking an experienced part-time Special Education teacher to serve students remotely in Ohio. Students are in middle and high school and will be in their homes. Teaching is asynchronous but highly student and family centered. The ideal candidate has experience in a virtual setting and is compliance-focused. This position runs from the 2026-2027 school year through the future.
Responsibilities
- Teach students remotely in a virtual setting
- Work closely with students and families to ensure effective learning
- Adhere to all relevant compliance and educational standards
Requirements
- Experience teaching in a remote/virtual environment
- Strong understanding of special education principles and practices
- Compliance-focused approach to teaching
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching license in Ohio
- Experience working with middle and high school students
Skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs
- Proficiency in virtual learning platforms
