About the Team The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Indiana is a K-12 tuition-free online public school in the state of Indiana. At VPA Indiana, we empower students to be their best by enabling them to learn in ways that are right for them – using innovative technology at home, at their proper level, and at their own pace. Please note – while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events. The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based Student Support Team in providing services to students. About the Opportunity Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelinesFamiliarity with evaluation toolsComplete Initial Evaluation and Re-evaluationsComplete Assessment Plans, Review of Records and FBAsProvide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standardsConduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessmentsIntegrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as neededPresent evaluation findings at meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determinationExcellent knowledge of principles and evidence-based practicesParticipating in training and meetings as neededAttend Evaluation meetings to discuss results of assessmentsServe as a member on the MTSS/RTI Team About You Professional Indiana Psychologist LicenseProficiency with computers and online documentation skillsAbility to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentialityDemonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethicAbility to manage difficult or emotional client situationsAbility to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicatedDemonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfareDemonstrated leadership and management abilityExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistentlyAbility to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team membersAbility to work independently and contribute to a teamUnderstanding and ability to manage confidential informationAbility to pass federal and state criminal background checks About Us "We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances." – Ron Packard, CEO & Founder ACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students.
