Virtual Medical Assistant- Spanish Specialist
Responsibilities
- Handle front desk tasks such as greeting patients, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Update patient information accurately and efficiently in multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues in Spanish.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns courteously and promptly, providing assistance and information as needed.
- Maintain fluency in the Spanish language to ensure clear and effective communication with patients and staff.
- Monitor and respond to patient emails, providing information, scheduling appointments, and addressing inquiries as necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency in navigating and using multiple EMR and EHR systems to access and update patient records.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments to optimize clinic scheduling and patient flow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical front desk duties within the US healthcare system.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in Spanish.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
- Experience in verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Proficiency in updating patient information in multiple EMR and EHR systems.
- Able to efficiently manage patient inquiries, emails, and appointments.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment.
