Virtual Learning Facilitator, Unbound Academy (Remote) - $60,000/year USD

About the Role

This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school that prioritizes hands-on learning over worksheets and centers personal development. Core academics are completed independently by students in two concentrated daily hours using AI-powered platforms. The remainder of their schedule is dedicated to building practical skills through facilitated workshops, coaching, and exploratory learning. Your role will not involve delivering scripted content or monitoring a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that invite students to think critically, collaborate, create, and develop. Through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and problem-solving, you'll mentor them while fostering independence, self-assurance, and executive function.

What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating interactive virtual workshops centered on life skills including communication, creativity, problem-solving, and self-direction
• Providing one-on-one and small-group mentorship to cultivate confidence, ownership, and executive functioning in students
• Leveraging platform data and student indicators to personalize support and monitor progress longitudinally
• Partnering with fellow educators to design and iteratively refine project-based learning experiences
• Establishing a safe, energizing environment where students feel acknowledged, challenged, and inspired to grow

What You Won't Be Doing

• Instructing core academic subjects; adaptive AI tutors manage those areas
• Presenting scripted lectures or operating within a traditional classroom framework
• Grading worksheets, assigning homework, or developing standardized lesson plans

Basic Requirements

• Available to begin end of July 2026
• Valid U.S. teaching certificate from any state, or an expired certificate eligible for reinstatement, with certification transferable to Arizona
• Strong virtual presence and comfort facilitating students via video
• Able to work in a hybrid role in Arizona

Pay

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
