IMEG, a 100% employee-owned firm, is seeking a Virtual Design Coordinator to join our Southeast structural team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role oversees and manages Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects across all disciplines, serving as the main point of contact for BIM-related questions and supporting coordination, model management, standards compliance, and workflow alignment.

About the Role

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations while working within monetary budgets. The team has strong experience in commercial, public-sector, education, healthcare, and multifamily projects.

Responsibilities

  • Review the effectiveness of current standards and procedures and validate updates as needed.
  • Lead and attend project meetings with clients and consultants, including BIM project kickoff meetings.
  • Identify and lead team-specific training and education needs for standards and BIM/Virtual Design tools.
  • Standardize workflows and practices between offices and teams.
  • Communicate with the project manager to determine model setup configuration and understand project scope requirements.
  • Manage project folder organization, file sharing, and file archival between IMEG disciplines and external partners.
  • Provide team-specific support for Virtual Design software and programs, escalating as needed.
  • Review working models and PDF deliverables for compliance with modeling and documentation standards.
  • Complete model maintenance using best practices and standards to support quality drawing production.
  • Run clash detection reports, resolve clashes, and participate in the BIM coordination process.
  • Coordinate models and workflow between members of the design team.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience minimum (5 years preferred) or equivalent.
  • Revit experience required.
  • Associate degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) preferred.

Skills

  • Strong Revit knowledge with emphasis on project setup and model management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Revit/design software issues.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans and models preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High level of professionalism.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull.
  • Limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises.

Pay

State of Virginia Salary Range: $71,000 – $98,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.

Locations: Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC; Greensboro, NC; Norfolk, VA. Full-time in-office role. Sponsorship is not available.
