Virtual ASL Educator (New York Certified)

Pay

$270–$350 daily rate; negotiable and subject to change.

Schedule

Fully remote, 1099 contract opportunity. Hours vary throughout the day and week. Position follows the school district’s calendar.

About the role

Fullmind partners with hundreds of U.S. schools to fill teacher vacancies by live-streaming certified educators directly to students. As a Fullmind educator, you’ll deliver virtual instruction and guide students to course completion.

Responsibilities

• Teach the curriculum of the school on the district’s virtual platform
• Attend district professional development and faculty meetings
• Record student progress and partner with an in-class facilitator who is physically present with students
• Create strategies to engage and nurture student learning and relationships
• Develop lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum
• Track student grades and performance

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States
• Active, state-issued New York World Language (ASL) or American Sign Language teaching certification
• Minimum of 3 years of professional teaching experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access
• Completion of a virtual skills teaching demonstration and submission of a background check
• Prior online teaching experience is a plus
