Virginia Certified Police Officer

The Hospital Police Officer provides professional law enforcement services to the Carilion Clinic, including:

• Responding to calls and patrolling facilities for security breaches
• Aiding and coordinating with outside law enforcement agencies
• Guarding and providing security during special events and for dignitaries
• Handling traffic and enforcing parking regulations
• Writing and filing reports promptly

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• No prior experience required, but previous law enforcement or security experience is preferred
• Valid Virginia driver's license
• Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services certification as a law enforcement officer
• At least 21 years old
• Computer keyboarding and communication skills

Benefits

Eligible for up to a $30,000 sign-on bonus.

Pay

Compensation range: $23.97 - $35.96 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
