VILLAGE SITES: Temporary Cook's Helper

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the production and service of palatable school meals.
• Participate in storage, clean up, and safety tasks.
• Operate the food service vehicles to deliver food and staff to and from the school sites.
• Expedite incoming and outgoing food to locations as required.
• Process incoming freight and check necessary paperwork.
• Lift and stock freight in appropriate storage areas.
• Keep all storage areas neat and clean.
• Operate a pallet jack for positioning pallets of food.
• Lift 70 pounds.
• Perform such other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the supervisor may assign.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

Environmental Conditions

• Work in noisy, overcrowded environments, and around dust, fumes, and odors, cleaning chemicals, work with hands in water, and operate machinery with moving parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
