Overview

Why We Need Your Talents: Food Preparation & Cleaning: Washing, slicing, dicing, and marinating vegetables, meats, and seafood for specialized Vietnamese dishes. Assures that guests have a favorable dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of all raw and cooked foods for line cooks as needed.
• Cleaning and cutting garnishes for menu and line cooks.
• Ensuring the safety and security of employees and guests.
• Monitoring and adjusting performance to local competition.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Ability to use all kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Ability to read and write basic instructions.
• Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Ability to be creative.
• Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.
• Ability to communicate in English and fluently in either Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese & other Asian languages.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
• One (1) year kitchen experience in a fast-paced casual full-service Asian restaurant or establishment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning.
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach while carrying food products, equipment, trash/waste weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, carry, deliver food items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout a scheduled shift.
• Ability to work around 500 degree ovens and work within 40 degree walk-in refrigerators.
• Ability to stand and walk continually throughout a 10-hour shift.
