About The Role

The Video and Motion Graphics Specialist is a vital member of the marketing and communications team, responsible for creating compelling multimedia content that enhances the college’s image across digital platforms. This role involves producing high-quality videos, animations, motion graphics, photographic content, and other digital media to support marketing campaigns, institutional branding, and event coverage. The specialist will shoot, edit, and caption videos for major college events and initiatives, ensuring the content aligns with brand standards and effectively communicates the college’s message. Collaborating with various departments, the specialist will develop engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters, and other digital channels. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the archiving of media assets, maintaining aesthetic standards, and staying current with industry trends to continually improve content quality and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field related to media, communications, or digital arts
  • Four years of related experience in multimedia production, video editing, or motion graphics
  • Proficiency with digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras, video cameras, and associated equipment
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects
  • Experience with graphic and video image editing software
  • Experience with social media marketing strategies and content creation
  • Experience with photography for marketing purposes
  • Proficiency in motion graphics and AE template design
  • Ability to set up and operate multimedia equipment, lighting, and audio gear
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues effectively

Responsibilities

  • Produce short and long-format videos, animations, motion graphics, and multimedia content to support college marketing initiatives
  • Shoot, edit, and caption videos and photographs for college events and communication campaigns
  • Record and assemble footage, ensuring high production quality
  • Assist with archiving and organizing video and photographic assets for easy retrieval and use
  • Collaborate with marketing and other departments to identify content needs and create cohesive media assets
  • Create engaging written content for digital news, newsletters, social media, and websites
  • Design and produce images and videos optimized for quick uploading and website integration
  • Maintain aesthetic standards and ensure consistency with the college’s branding and marketing identity
  • Stay informed of industry trends and incorporate new tools, techniques, and strategies into content creation
  • Perform video and audio recording of live events, followed by post-production editing
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the college’s communication goals
