About the role
Video Installation Technician responsible for installing and troubleshooting video equipment in support of mission-critical workspaces.
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test various cables (fiber optic, HDMI, coaxial, network, power) and associated hardware such as wall jacks, racks, and patch panels.
- Assemble and connect video system components, including processors, scalers, amplifiers, media players, and control systems.
- Follow design documents for cabling and implementation, supporting projects with proper documentation and cable management.
- Travel locally between sites or to support special projects as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma with 8 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 4 years, or Master’s degree with 2 years.
- Expertise in cable types, termination standards, troubleshooting, and reading cable run lists.
- Strong diagnostic skills for video, audio, control, and network connectivity issues.
- Experience with video conferencing hardware (e.g., Cisco, Poly, Logitech) and resolving related technical problems.
- Preferred: experience in video/cabling installation, network implementation, and relevant certifications (AVIXA, Network+, CCNA).
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing tasks and learn new skills.
- Current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Physical ability to operate equipment, move heavy gear, and work in confined spaces, including climbing ladders.
