Video Editor (YouTube and Short Form)

About the role

Edit 5-to-14 minute YouTube videos plus Shorts, Reels, and TikToks. Responsibilities include adding captions, motion graphics, sound design, color grading, and crafting strong storytelling.

Hiring process

• Round 1: Portfolio review
• Round 2: Paid trial edit (same sample provided to all finalists)

Pay

• Paid trial edit
• Per-project payments after approved milestones for approximately the first 30 days
• After successful probation: $350 per month, plus performance bonuses

Approximate monthly scope: up to 4 YouTube videos (maximum 15 minutes each) and up to 24 Shorts derived from long-form content.

Policies

• No advances
• Two revision rounds per project
• Original work only; deliver all project files
• Communicate any deadline issues early

• Describe a time you received tough feedback and how you responded.
• Why do you want long-term work with us?
• Rate your skills 1-to-10 in storytelling, motion graphics, color, audio, transitions, YouTube, and Shorts.

Include a 30-to-60-second screen recording explaining one of your edits.
