We partner with brands and organizations to create compelling visual stories across commercials, social media, websites, recruiting campaigns, and other digital platforms. We take the work seriously, but try not to take ourselves too seriously.

About the Role

Buds & Pals is looking for a creative, curious, and detail-oriented intern who wants to grow their skills in video editing and post-production. You’ll work alongside our editors, videographers, photographers, and creative team to help turn raw footage into polished, engaging content. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real client projects, learn how a professional production studio operates, and build your portfolio along the way.

Our ideal candidate has a strong creative eye, a good sense of timing and storytelling, and some experience working in Adobe Premiere Pro. Experience with cameras, production, motion graphics, sound, or color correction is a definite plus, but we’re primarily looking for someone eager to learn, contribute, and get better.

Responsibilities

• Support Video Editing and Post-Production
  • Organize, label, sync, and prepare footage for editing
  • Assist with editing short-form videos, social content, interviews, brand stories, and other client projects
  • Select strong moments, sound bites, and B-roll from raw footage
  • Create rough cuts and support revisions based on internal and client feedback
  • Help format and optimize videos for different platforms, dimensions, and delivery requirements
• Help Bring Stories to Life
  • Add music, sound effects, captions, graphics, and transitions to video content
  • Support basic color correction, audio cleanup, and finishing
  • Assist with motion graphics and animation when appropriate
  • Find thoughtful and creative ways to make content more engaging
• Keep Projects Organized
  • Maintain organized project files, footage, graphics, and exports
  • Help manage media backups and our video library
  • Follow established workflows, naming conventions, and brand standards
  • Review final content for quality, accuracy, and consistency
• Join Us on Set
  • Assist with cameras, lighting, audio, equipment, and general production needs
  • Capture behind-the-scenes and social content when needed
  • Learn how a professional video and photography shoot comes together
  • Occasionally support location scouting, equipment prep, setup, and teardown

Requirements

• Some experience editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro
• A basic understanding of video storytelling, pacing, composition, and sound
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• The ability to accept feedback and apply it thoughtfully
• A collaborative attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Genuine curiosity about video, photography, production, and creative storytelling
• The ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Experience with After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, DaVinci Resolve, cameras, lighting, or audio equipment is helpful, but not required. Current students, recent graduates, and self-taught creators are all encouraged to apply. We care more about your potential, perspective, and willingness to learn than the number of years on your resume.
