We go the extra mile to see the whole picture, showing loyalty and dedication to our consumers and brands. We solve root causes, not just symptoms, ensuring lasting impact. If you’re looking to be part of a globally diverse team that raises the bar, wins as one, and truly cares, ConsumerAffairs could be the perfect place for you! About The Job We’re looking for an energetic, creative and focused AI Native Video Content Lead to build and run our first in-house video pod. You’ll lead a small team (an on-camera host and script writer, plus a video producer, backed by outside editors) out of a dedicated space in our Tulsa office. The pod’s job is to build everything a category needs on video: paid ad creative, organic social content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Reddit, and lifecycle content for email, retargeting and onsite journeys. Paid and lifecycle content is what makes the numbers work, so you need to be as comfortable with ad creative and conversion as you are with views and engagement. This is a pilot. We’re starting with one pod and plan to scale the model across more categories once it works. The right person brings viral ideas, knows the formats cold, can jump in and edit when needed, and makes sure every video has a home and a hook before anyone hits record. If you want to grow into leading a larger video team, this is the ground floor. What You’ll Do Run the pod day to day: own the content calendar, set priorities and keep output movingOwn the video strategy for the category across paid, organic social and lifecycleBuild out each category’s full asset library: finished videos, b-roll, GIFs and images ready for paid, content and lifecycleProduce and test paid ad creative (hooks, variants, lengths) with the paid media team, and iterate based on resultsCreate video for lifecycle touchpoints (email, retargeting, onsite) with the lifecycle teamBring a steady pipeline of video ideas based on what’s working on YouTube, Shorts, TikTok, Reels and RedditMake sure every video has a clear home (platform and format) and a hook before it goes to scriptSupervise and coach the host/script writer and video producer in person; review scripts, storyboards and cutsEdit when needed, from quick social cut-downs to final polishWork with the video producer to set up the Tulsa studio and manage our bench of outside editors (Upwork)Track performance weekly across organic, paid and lifecycle; cut what isn’t working and double down on what isDocument the pod’s playbook (formats, workflows, briefs, QA) so it can be copied into new categoriesCollaborate with editorial, SEO, PR, paid media and lifecycle teams What You Bring About 3 years of experience creating or leading social video for a brand, creator, publisher or agencyA portfolio of videos you’ve led, with the performance numbers to back them upExperience making paid social ad creative (Meta, YouTube, TikTok) and testing variants against performance metricsUnderstanding of how video supports lifecycle marketing (email, retargeting, onboarding)Can clearly explain how the YouTube, TikTok and Instagram algorithms decide what gets distributed, and how that shapes hooks, length and retentionDeep knowledge of short-form, long-form and paid video formatsVideo editing proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar)Experience directing or giving feedback to other creatives or freelancersAI native: uses AI tools every day for research, ideation, scripting and editingComfortable testing, iterating and learning from performance dataWants to grow and help build a larger team as the pod model scales Nice to Have Comfortable on camera and open to hostingExperience with consumer, product review or how-to content How You Work Obsessed with ensuring an exceptional customer experience for both internal and external customersStands up for decisions, takes responsibility for results, and shares both good and bad outcomes transparentlyDemonstrates a relentless focus on results with a commitment to deliverTakes decisive action, and confidently changes course if unsuccessfulDisplays a growth mindset to continually improve; encourages everyone around them to be tenacious and never settleConstantly seeks feedback to improve; focuses on solving issues through teamwork and collaborationActs with urgency; delivers top results in hours and days instead of weeks and monthsRelentless in their pursuit of success, with the willpower to embrace challenges as opportunities Reasonable accommodations will be made in accordance with existing ADA requirements for otherwise qualified individuals with disabilities.
