Video Content Developer
About the role
Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Video Content Developer to create engaging video content that helps users understand and get the most out of complex software platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending video production, visual storytelling, and content development to create clear, compelling digital content. This is a long-term contract opportunity (1 year to start) with the potential to convert!
Responsibilities
- Create and edit engaging short-form video content, including product demonstrations, tutorials, feature overviews, and customer-facing educational videos
- Develop supporting visual content, presentations, and knowledge base articles that reinforce video messaging
- Leverage AI-powered content creation tools to streamline video production and content development
- Write scripts, storyboard concepts, and produce multimedia content that simplifies complex technical topics
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer success teams to translate technical information into engaging, easy-to-understand content
- Monitor content performance and audience engagement, making recommendations to optimize future content
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in video content development, multimedia production, or digital content creation
- Proven experience producing video content from concept through final delivery
- Strong storytelling, scripting, and visual communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for broad audiences
- Experience with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Camtasia, Canva, or similar video editing and content creation platforms
- Experience using AI-powered content creation tools is a plus
- Background supporting SaaS, enterprise software, technology, media, or digital products preferred
Skills
While the position can be worked fully remotely, the ideal candidate will sit in the Chicagoland area with the ability to go onsite to their corporate offices in downtown Chicago as needed.
Pay
This position pays $35/hr-$40/hr depending on experience.
