Video and Telecom Installation Technician

About the role

Secure Future Tech Solutions is seeking a Video and Telecom Installation Technician to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant work experience, knowledge of Exacq, Axis, Salient, and Brivo systems, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and service devices such as electronic locks, motion detectors, and IP video cameras.
• Establish installation plans and complete system installations on time.
• Document wiring and device changes on job and project drawings as required.
• Work on ladders, lifts, and bucket trucks to install and service devices.
• Work directly with building contractors and customers.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with clients and internal teams.
• Solve problems in the field to keep project schedules on time.
• Report any unforeseen problems to the Project Manager and/or Salesperson.
• Train helpers and other installers to ensure proper installation procedures and best practices.
• Maintain strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
• Function as a subject matter expert in all required technical areas.

Requirements

• RW Telecommunications System Technician License.
• MA & CT Telecom Licenses preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year technical degree is a plus.
• Door control systems helpful.
• Ability to read and understand building layouts, pictures, and hardware placement diagrams.
• Wire running experience is required.
• Clean driving record.
• Background check required.
