Vida Unida On-Air Talent/Media Producer

About the role

Hope Media Group is seeking a spiritually grounded individual with strong moral character, a passion for serving others, and a heart for ministry to join the Vida Unida team as an On‑Air Talent/Media Producer in Houston, TX. The role involves hosting a daily live radio show that connects Spanish‑speaking Christian audiences to God, creating engaging on‑air content, assisting with production using Adobe Audition and ProTools, collaborating on digital content, managing listener interactions on social media, and participating in fundraising and ministry activities. The position reports directly to the Vida Unida Program Director and is an onsite role requiring flexibility to travel for station events.

Responsibilities

• Host a daily live radio show that draws listeners in, builds listenership, and connects Spanish‑speaking Christian audiences to God with biblically literate, accessible spiritual truth.
• Assist with production tasks, including creating underwriting spots and station promos using Adobe Audition and ProTools.
• Collaborate with the Digital Content team to produce videos, blogs, and social media content; capture audio, video, and photos at station events (concerts, special events, Vida Unida promotions, team activities, in‑studio appearances).
• Develop and post engaging content on Vida Unida’s social media platforms; monitor and manage daily listener interactions during on‑air shifts to foster community and drive organic growth.
• Proactively write/produce year‑round fundraising messaging and represent Vida Unida at donor engagement/fundraising events as required.
• Participate in ministry‑wide faith activities: pray for coworkers in team meetings, lead prayer in large group settings, pray for donors, engage in conflict resolution using Christian principles, attend staff gatherings for prayer and devotions, and join Bible studies.
• Travel occasionally to attend and/or host station events locally and nationally; be available to work weekends and evenings for events.
• Meet physical demands: frequent talking and hearing, repetitive wrist/hand motions (typing, pinching), light work (up to 20 lb occasionally, 10 lb frequently), and close visual acuity for computer work, data preparation, and reading.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a radio talent.
• Proficient in producing underwriting spots and station promos.
• Basic knowledge of digital media content creation with proven success using Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and other social platforms for a business or organization.
• Basic knowledge of Nielsen PPM is a plus.

Skills

• Bilingual: fluent proficiency in both Spanish and English.
• Working knowledge of radio scheduling/broadcasting software, automation systems, audio editing tools (Adobe Audition, ProTools), and call editing software (VoxPro).
• Basic understanding of public relations and marketing principles.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and highly organized.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to positively lead, influence, and align a team with mission, vision, values, and organizational goals.
• Extensive experience creating radio content that fosters deeper connections with God.
• Proven success using Instagram, Facebook, X, and other social platforms to engage audiences.
• Strong computer and technology skills: Mac and PC proficiency.
• Knowledge of Adobe Audition and ProTools a plus.
• Biblically literate and able to articulate a Christian worldview through media content.
• Highly creative, innovative, and an idea generator.
• Possesses a joyful attitude, sense of humor, and strong, compelling on‑air presence.
• Skilled storyteller.
• Established base of social media followers preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build and engage a loyal community of fans.
• Strong passion for Christian ministry, heart for serving others, commitment to strong moral character.
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, is spiritually grounded, and has working knowledge of scripture.
• Active member of a Bible‑believing local church.
