Vice President, Tax Management

About the Role
The Vice President, Product Owner for the Enterprise Custody Services - Tax team will play a crucial role in product development, strategy, and project management. They will lead the development of the eW9/eW8 Hub, manage end-to-end project activities, and collaborate with various stakeholders to understand and document tax functions/processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead product development for the eW9/eW8 Hub, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Develop, communicate, and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's business objectives
- Manage and oversee project management activities such as project planning, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management, and other project documentation preparation for projects of medium to high complexity
- Collaborate with business stakeholders including US Tax Product, Tax, Tax Operations, Technology, Relationship Managers to understand and document current and future state of tax functions/processes
- Technical experience with APIs, Kafka messaging, and its impact on tax onboarding and tax withholding on U.S. domestic payments
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience within financial services
- A strong grasp of compliance and operational risk frameworks
- A good understanding of Tax Information Reporting and Withholding (e.g., 1446f, FATCA, NRA, BUW, 8966 Reporting)
- Proficient in IRS Tax forms, due diligence, and various tax onboarding, withholding reporting requirements
- Experience with the agile development process to ensure change requests are managed into backlogs and delivered quickly with precise end-to-end testing
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate business and technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform business and product decisions
- Experience working with Technology and third-party developers
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Prince2 certification
