Responsibilities
- Directs and coordinates professional surveying operations.
- Develops survey needs, cost estimates, scope of work, budget, and staffing for engineering projects.
- Schedules crews and licensed surveyors to optimize staff and equipment use.
- Researches and obtains necessary data for surveys.
- Determines methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control.
- Coordinates survey plans with clients, project managers, civil authorities, and crews.
- Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Prepares detailed survey plats and coordinates with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients.
- Maintains and grows the Survey Division, managing budgets and resources.
- Manages survey supervisors and oversees their teams.
- Monitors and evaluates survey team performance.
- Manages equipment and vehicles to ensure availability.
- Manages marketing efforts and keeps accurate records of work performed.
- Works with clients to address project needs and concerns.
- Ensures all surveys are completed with proper signatures and seals.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited survey program or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years direct experience or 10-15 years related experience.
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Oklahoma.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of accounting, database, design, internet, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
