About the role
Milacron is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead and inspire a high-performing sales organization, driving revenue growth across capital equipment and aftermarket product lines, and shaping the strategic direction of the sales function within a high-volume injection molding manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of approximately 35 sales associates across field sales, regional account management, and inside sales functions.
- Establish and manage performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability structures, including pipeline reviews, territory planning, and individual performance evaluations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies to expand market share across automotive, medical device, consumer goods, and industrial packaging sectors.
- Own full P&L responsibility for the sales organization, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, vertical segments, and strategic accounts; lead complex, high-value enterprise negotiations.
- Drive cross-sell and upsell initiatives to maximize revenue across both capital equipment and aftermarket services such as tooling, maintenance, and spare parts.
- Serve as executive sponsor for key customer relationships, engaging C-suite stakeholders and ensuring exceptional customer experience.
- Partner with engineering, operations, marketing, finance, and customer service teams to align business objectives and ensure seamless execution from order through delivery.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build brand presence within the plastics and injection molding sector.
- Build and foster a high-performance, inclusive sales culture; collaborate with HR on recruiting, development, and succession planning initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in capital equipment sales within industrial manufacturing, plastics, or a related sector.
- Proven experience leading multi-site or regional sales teams of 25+ associates, including managing leaders of leaders.
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth across both capital equipment and aftermarket product/service lines.
- Extensive experience managing complex, high-value enterprise sales cycles.
- Background in injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, or related plastics processing technologies preferred.
- Experience operating in a private equity-backed or publicly traded manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong business acumen with full P&L ownership and the ability to develop and execute multi-year commercial strategies.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), sales analytics tools, and pipeline management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive-level negotiation skills.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to build collaborative, high-performing teams.
- Ability to travel up to 40%, including overnight and occasional international travel.
- Valid driver’s license required.
