About the role
Salem Media Group is seeking a seasoned media executive to lead the Salem Podcast Network, focused on growing the network's audiences, influence, and revenue while impacting lives and communities by amplifying truth, faith, and self-governance.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, retain podcast talent that aligns with Salem’s truth, faith, and self-governance mission.
- Build large, engaged, first-party audiences around talent across audio, video, social, email, and other platforms.
- Develop and oversee all revenue opportunities generated from Salem podcast talent including advertising, sponsorships, subscriptions, events, licensing, and future monetization models.
- Negotiate podcast talent agreements.
- Establish the operating discipline, analytics, and execution cadence necessary to consistently grow audience, revenue, and profitability.
- Navigate changes in platform algorithms, distribution channels, and advertising models.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, emerging content trends, and audience shifts.
- Lead cross-functional teams including content, production, sales, marketing, audience development, and operations.
- Scale operations as the network grows.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in podcast content development, audience growth, and podcast advertising sales.
- 5+ years’ experience leading podcast talent and talent production teams.
- 3+ years’ experience negotiating talent agreements.
- Proven track record of podcast revenue generation.
- Experience exceeding multimillion-dollar budgets.
- Proven podcast audience growth track record.
- Ability to turn podcast content into a scalable multimedia business.
- Strong understanding of YouTube Podcasting, Spotify, Apple Podcasts.

Pay
Compensation: $240,000.
