About the role
As a recognized authority in Know-Your-Customer (KYC) processes, you will provide high-level review and analysis of complex KYC files, implement global policies, resolve critical escalations, and drive transformational process improvements across multiple regions.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized KYC expertise by reviewing and analyzing complex KYC files, with a focus on high-risk customers, ensuring adherence to stringent bank policies and procedures.
- Implement and standardize global KYC policies, procedures, and communications across multiple regions to ensure a uniform approach and mitigate risks.
- Leverage risk management expertise to address critical escalations, develop effective courses of action, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve identified risks.
- Oversee the analysis and validation of client KYC files to ensure completeness, consistency, and adherence to predefined guidelines, protecting the organization from reputational and financial risks.
- Provide authoritative insights and recommendations to senior management through KPI reporting, highlighting areas of improvement and control results.
- Serve as a strategic liaison and trusted advisor to external and internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, offering expert guidance on KYC-related matters.
- Lead transformational process improvements and project management initiatives to streamline multisite KYC approval processes, ensuring seamless client onboarding, recertification, and off-boarding.
- Drive operational excellence and change management to minimize error rates, optimize workflows, and propose innovative solutions, enhancing the organization’s competitiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Business, Law, Criminology, or a related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in AML and project management within KYC-related topics.
- Three (3) years of experience in the following areas:
- KYC regulations and compliance, with extensive knowledge of US and French KYC regulations, policies, and procedures.
- EMEA, APAC, and AMER regulations and compliance.
- Risk management and escalation resolution, including identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Project management and process improvement, leading cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Operational excellence and change management, driving transformative change and process re-engineering.
- Providing expert guidance on KYC-related matters under French and US regulations.
- Global banking regulations, including AML and terrorist financing (TF) regulations, with knowledge of dual regulatory oversight (EU & US).
- Client onboarding and due diligence, overseeing the analysis and validation of client KYC files.
- Knowledge of the “One Bank” approach for cross-division collaboration across European regions, APAC, EMEA, and LATAM.
- Understanding of legal entities, trusts, and SPVs.
- Quality control and KPI reporting, including developing and implementing quality control processes.
- IT developments for tracker purposes (e.g., OnTrack, Business Power) and experience with secondary site approval control points.
Pay
$127,836 – $160,000 per year
Schedule
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (40 hours per week).
