Vice President, Product Strategy (Utility experience required)
About the role
The Vice President, Product Strategy will lead the development and execution of VertexOne’s product strategy for VXConnect, a digital customer engagement product. This role demands a visionary leader with a deep understanding of market trends, product management, and strategic planning. The VP will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of product initiatives that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
Essential Job Requirements
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the product strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Product Development: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of product initiatives, ensuring they meet market needs and are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers and strategists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and inform product strategy.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of product strategies.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development and strategy, ensuring the stability and success of product initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of product strategy processes.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product strategy, product management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of market trends and product management principles.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and executing product strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
