About the role
The Vice President will join HarbourVest's Primary Investments team in Boston. They will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating Private Equity, Growth Equity, and Venture Capital fund investments, portfolio management, and representing HarbourVest externally with both General Partners and Limited Partners.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the investment process (e.g., manager due diligence, underwriting, oversight and preparation of investment memos/presentations, referencing, active IC discussion, legal negotiation and closing processes)
- Source new investment opportunities, develop and deepen relationships with new and existing General Partners, and identify opportunities for cross-platform partnership
- Monitor partnership investments, including through active participation in LPAC meetings, Annual Meetings, and regular update meetings with General Partners
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Aid team with client service, including material preparation and meeting participation
Requirements
- Experienced with manager due diligence across Private Equity, Growth Equity, and Venture Capital
- Adept at sourcing, building, and maintaining relationships with General Partners
- Exceptionally analytical with deep experience in Excel
- Proven in managing and monitoring investment portfolios
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior leaders, General Partners, and clients
- Highly collaborative with an ability to work seamlessly across teams

Pay
Base Salary Range: $200,000.00 - $210,000.00
