About the role

The Fund Reporting Vice President will have responsibility for the coordination, execution, and quality of financial, regulatory, investor and management reporting. Reporting to the Head of the Quality Control Group and working hand in hand with fund accountants, Compliance, external administrators, auditors, and multiple other parties, the Fund Reporting Vice President ensures high quality, timely execution across multiple areas. The candidate will take an active role in financial reporting, risk assessment, assurance, and advisory activities for the Private Credit and Private Equity strategies within the Private Financing Solutions (PFS) business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Support coordination and execution of the annual financial statement audits, consisting of more than 500 separate financial statements
  • Maintain and enhance financial reporting processes and controls. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Coordinate and oversee both internal and external deliverables managed by the Fund Accounting team, including recurring and ad hoc investor requests and management reporting
  • Partner with Fund Accounting, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Tax, and business teams
  • Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, and other third-party service providers
  • Oversee and manage regional resources used to support reporting requirements
  • Support strategic projects and business initiatives as required

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in a Financial Reporting or Accounting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; relevant experience in external or internal audit preferred
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS and investment company reporting requirements preferred
  • Experience in assessing business risk and evaluating the design and effectiveness of internal controls
  • Strong project management and communication skills. Ability to discuss complex issues with multiple levels of management and to summarize issues and develop recommendations
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and analysis, and exercise professional judgment
  • Experience operating independently while managing multiple projects
  • Relevant certification or industry accreditation (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) is a plus

Pay

For New York, NY, the salary range for this position is USD $137,500.00 - USD $194,000.00. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Schedule

BlackRock’s hybrid work model requires employees to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
