About the role

This role is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Lake Mary, Florida. As a Vice President, POM Product Owner within the Government Debt Solutions team, you will lead product and program strategies with a strong focus on government-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of product and program strategies, ensuring alignment with BNY’s strategic objectives and client-centric priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define product vision, roadmap, and delivery plans, enabling seamless execution of product enhancements and business initiatives.
  • Drive innovation by incorporating client feedback, market dynamics, and industry trends to strengthen offerings and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Prioritize and manage workstreams and product backlog in alignment with business goals, ensuring focus on the highest-value initiatives and timely delivery.
  • Facilitate agile development processes by providing clear direction, making informed tradeoff decisions, and enabling efficient execution across teams.
  • Monitor performance metrics and outcomes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and inform future strategy.
  • Interface directly with clients, understand their priorities, translate needs into actionable plans, and build confidence across stakeholders.
  • Support business growth by helping position solutions, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to winning new business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Typically 5-10 years of experience in a product or program leadership role within banking, with a focus on government-related programs.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills to drive product vision and execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and product management tools.

Skills

  • Strong technical and data skills, including experience with data modeling, BI dashboards, SQL, and advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Ability to use data-driven insights to support decision-making, improve transparency, and enhance program and product outcomes.
