Vice President Operations Mount Saint Marys Hospital

Responsibilities

• MANAGE DAILY OPERATIONS: Drive performance, implement operational initiatives, programs, and services.
• INTEGRATE WITH SERVICE LINES: Coordinate with service lines and interact with physicians and staff.
• COMPLY WITH GUIDELINES: Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory guidelines for patient care delivery.
• LEAD SITE OPERATIONS: Provide site leadership as designated on-site administrator, reporting directly to the Hospital President.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Masters in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or related field within three (3) years.
• Experience: Five (5) - ten (10) years of progressive operations work experience; minimum of three (3) years in operations within a health care work environment.
• Senior Management Experience: Five (5) years of senior management experience in a complex multifaceted organization; minimum of three (3) years of management experience within healthcare.
• Financial Experience: Experience in financial applications, reimbursement, budgetary, and P&L responsibility for high volume complex clinical and operational services.
• Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of governance, leadership, management, and service-oriented operations; knowledge of applicable Federal and New York State rules and regulations; proficiency in Joint Commission standards and survey process; significant experience with physicians and senior management; significant experience in operational reengineering and strategic planning; proven performance track record; strong interpersonal and leadership skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong strategic planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
