About the role
The Operations Department works in our West Chicago branch located in central DuPage County, approximately 40 miles outside of Chicago. Our Operations team is a close-knit group that collaborates to serve customers with energy and focus while supporting each other.
Responsibilities
- Assist the SVP Retail Banking & Operations, COO, VP Controller, and/or CFO with day-to-day supervision, administration, and support of bank operations areas, including Deposit, Loan, and Customer Information System (CIS).
- Ensure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal banking regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the Operations department.
- Delegate tasks and monitor department workflow.
- Hire, train, and supervise Operations staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, monitoring work, handling disciplinary issues, and writing performance appraisals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and internal compliance requirements.
- Provide customer service, answering complicated questions and backing up employees as needed.
- Assist the department head with reports and special projects.
- Handle complex problems in Deposit, Loan, Customer Information System (CIS), Accounting Operations, and Teller Operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in bank operations or a related field.
- Project management skills.
- Strong proficiency in bank operations and preferably the use of FIS, including BIC report writing and Connections relay reports.
- Strong knowledge of banking-related regulations and laws and the ability to apply them practically to operational areas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customer relationship management systems (Connections).
- Experience with Accounts Payable software and FedLine.
- Conversant in IT technologies.
- Maintain a high regard for confidential and sensitive information.

Pay
The expected pay range for this position is $80,000–$95,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
