Responsibilities
- Ensure electric system configuration, engineering, construction, and operation meet reliability, safety, and customer needs.
- Oversee distribution system protection, sectionalizing, system studies, software model development, and interconnections.
- Lead customer-initiated commercial service projects from concept to closeout, managing all aspects including project coordination.
- Prepare engineering and design capital improvement projects, develop circuit protection and sectionalizing directives, and manage project documentation.
- Oversee GIS modeling, mapping, and geomatics to support business models, outage management, and construction processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university, with relevant coursework in business administration, computer science, management, power systems, and technical writing.
- Professional Engineer registration in Maryland, with reciprocity from other states requiring Maryland registration within one year.
- AEE Energy Manager Certification (CEM) or advanced degree preferred.
- At least fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in electric utility engineering, construction, or operations, with supervision experience preferred.
- Familiarity with electric utility facilities, design, planning, construction, operations, maintenance, and financial principles.
Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $162,100 - $226,400.
