About the role
The Vice President (VP) of Student Affairs will provide leadership for student life culture that promotes civility, celebrates diversity, and encourages an inclusive campus climate. Areas of oversight include Health Services, Counseling, Student Disability Services, Gender Resources, Student Life and Leadership Development, Veterans Affairs, Community Standards, and International Student and Scholar Services.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and supervision of divisional staff
- Development and implementation of policies, programs, and procedures related to student affairs
- Fostering collaboration among College departments to support student development
- Representing the Division of Student Affairs in College-wide and University-wide initiatives
- Providing leadership in the use of technology, assessment, and performance metrics to improve services
- Collaborating with Academic Affairs and other College and University leaders to develop and implement strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience
- Extensive experience overseeing functional areas within the Division of Student Affairs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and external stakeholders
- Doctoral-level degree preferred
Qualifications
- CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan
- Salary range: $178,550 - $205,000, commensurate with education and experience
- Benefits package includes health, retirement/pension, tuition waivers, and paid time off

$178,550 - $205,000 per year
