Vice President of Revenue Operations
About the Role
Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed consumer marketplace transforming how customers discover, book, and experience travel. This role is a senior commercial and operating leadership position overseeing a significant portion of the business, with responsibility for approximately $500 million in revenue. The Vice President of Revenue will combine revenue strategy expertise with strong operational instincts, people leadership, and P&L orientation to shape the company’s evolving divisional structure and commercial operating model.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of senior revenue management leaders overseeing pricing, forecasting, inventory optimization, channel strategy, and revenue performance across a multi-market portfolio.
- Own revenue generation and commercial performance for a significant portion of the company’s national operations.
- Provide strategic leadership to regional marketing teams, aligning revenue management, demand generation, and marketing initiatives.
- Design and implement commercial strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, market share, and long-term customer and partner value.
- Establish clear performance objectives, KPIs, operating cadences, and accountability mechanisms across the revenue organization.
- Collaborate with regional operations, finance, accounting, business development, and other functional leaders to drive integrated business performance.
- Leverage market intelligence, demand patterns, competitive insights, and business analytics to identify opportunities and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Make balanced commercial decisions across pricing, occupancy/utilization, channel mix, customer acquisition, and profitability.
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing leadership team while developing scalable processes and infrastructure.
- Play a key role in integrating and optimizing newly acquired businesses as the company expands its national footprint.
- Operate as a senior commercial leader with influence over divisional strategy, financial performance, and P&L results.
Requirements
- Significant leadership experience in a scaled, multi-location or multi-market organization.
- Deep expertise in revenue management, pricing strategy, forecasting, demand optimization, and broader commercial strategy.
- A strong operational and P&L mindset with a track record of delivering measurable financial and business outcomes.
- Experience managing senior leaders, including Directors, regional leaders, or comparable executives.
- Broad commercial expertise extending beyond revenue management into marketing, sales, distribution, customer acquisition, and channel strategy.
- Ability to navigate a matrixed organization and build alignment across operations, finance, marketing, and other functional teams.
- Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial, or evolving environments where organizational structures and processes are still being developed.
- Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, post-acquisition integration, or multi-brand operating environments is a plus.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, investors, and stakeholders.
- A hands-on, low-ego leadership approach, balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution.
- A builder’s mindset, with the energy and adaptability to create scalable teams, processes, and operating models.
Experience in hospitality, lodging, resorts, vacation rentals, travel, or other businesses with dynamic pricing and demand fluctuations is highly relevant. Exceptional leaders from other consumer, service, or commercially complex industries will also be considered.
