Help Shape the Future of Resident Services at East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC)

East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) believes affordable housing is the foundation for thriving communities. They are seeking an experienced, strategic leader to serve as their Vice President of Resident Services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Resident Services and related community development programs.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team, including Directors, Associate Directors, Resident Services Managers, and program leaders.
  • Strengthen departmental systems, operations, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner across Property Management, Real Estate Development, Asset Management, Finance, Human Resources, and Resource Development to advance resident and organizational outcomes.
  • Lead departmental transformation by clarifying roles, strengthening leadership capacity, and building scalable systems and processes.
  • Cultivate executive-level partnerships with government agencies, funders, educational institutions, and community organizations.
  • Utilize data and performance measures to improve resident outcomes and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and resident-centered service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in social work, Public Administration, Community Development, Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational or team transformation, including integrating new roles, restructuring teams, and building culture and accountability during periods of change.
  • Ten or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in affordable housing, resident services, community development, workforce development, economic opportunity, human services, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience leading multiple programs, departments, or functional areas through other leaders.
  • Demonstrated success translating strategic priorities into operational execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience leading organizational growth, change initiatives, process improvement efforts, and team development.
  • Strong understanding of affordable housing, resident services, economic mobility programs, and community-based service delivery models.
  • Experience managing budgets, grants, contracts, partnerships, and complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship-building, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, resident empowerment, and community-centered practices.
