Vice President of Live Events

Responsibilities

  • Proactively influence our culture, leading by example in demonstrating collaboration, empowerment, innovation, creativity and service, while being a faithful witness on and off the job of K-LOVE’s mission.
  • Contribute to long term planning and vision implementation through identification of strategic Ministry Partnership initiatives, collaboration, prioritization, communication, and evaluation of results.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as CEO, Programming, Development, Underwriting, Marketing, and other departments.
  • Ensure alignment of Live Event and Sponsorship Initiatives with Ministry objectives.
  • Network and build ongoing relationships with agents, artist management, promoters, and other industry leaders.
  • Respond to all unsolicited requests for potential live event partnerships from agents and artist management.
  • Respond to all in-house Development team requests for potential live Donor events in need of an Artist.
  • Procure Artist, manage details of Artist & event and work directly with Development team.
  • Plan, develop, and implement K-LOVE live event branding initiatives.
  • Maintain a 2-3-year calendar of K-LOVE live events and sponsorships.
  • Travel, as needed, to cover strategic live events and seek new opportunities.
  • Explore and develop opportunities and relationships with potential outside partners that will strategically grow live event exposure in corresponding television and live stream properties.
  • Partner with Development team to create high impact donor events at existing upcoming events including Market and Audience analysis to create unique experiences for our donor audience.
  • Create 2-3-year annual revenue goals for the division with corresponding strategies to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing, to recommend appropriate radio, digital, and social run of schedules to meet the needs of the event.
  • Create effective copy for radio, digital, and social schedules effectively maintaining our Brand, while promoting the event.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility including presentation of budgets to Chief Media Officer ahead of all tours and events.
  • Provide follow through maintaining budgets to final settlements.
  • Demonstrate initiative with proactive follow-up and servicing ongoing relationships; help drive decisions by providing timely response to questions, concerns, and requests for information.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Media Officer in customizing marketing materials, collateral, presentations; budget and strategic market planning and goals; and present plans to maximize inventory utilization and revenue generation.
  • Represent K-LOVE and Air 1 professionally and with ministry-focused communications.
  • Provide strategic leadership, mentoring and developing a highly competent and responsive team, ensuring alignment of goals and ministry initiatives with K-LOVE’s mission.
  • Foster a learning environment where training, risk management, operational best practices, and biblical values go hand in hand with creative and entrepreneurial solutions that best fulfill the ministry’s mission.
  • Utilize the K-LOVE Leadership Framework in setting professional goals for self and direct reports.
  • Actively seek and partake in training & education to deepen Biblical understanding, media/business acumen, leadership knowledge, interpersonal awareness, and communication skills.
  • Participate and contribute to Ministry-wide initiatives and projects like Gratitude Fest, Daily Prayer, All Team Meetings, All Team Celebrations as announced.
  • Support and contribute to ministry endeavors by following employment policies and practices and supporting a safe and healthy work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in staff Management/Leadership.
  • Is a skilled and gifted leader and manager of people, resources, and processes.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a role requiring building and maintaining positive partnerships within the industry.
  • Deep working knowledge in one or more of the core areas listed below and knowledgeable in media promotions related disciplines including:
    • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft office products.
    • Knowledge of CMS systems preferred.
    • Demonstrated high attention to detail.
    • A collaborative and flexible style, with strong service mentality.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
    • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for our mission and values.
