Signify Technology is conducting a confidential search for a Vice President of Infrastructure. Our client is an established organization with a mixed estate of on-premise, colocation, and cloud infrastructure, seeking an executive to consolidate it under one strategy and leadership. This role reports to the CIO or CTO and owns the systems that power the entire business.

About the Role

This position owns the enterprise infrastructure strategy, roadmap, budget, and team. You will lead the consolidation of hybrid infrastructure, drive modernization, and ensure high availability, security, and cost efficiency across compute, storage, network, and data center operations.

Responsibilities

Own the enterprise infrastructure strategy and multi-year roadmap across compute, storage, network, and data center.
Lead and grow the infrastructure, network, and systems engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and development.
Own the infrastructure budget, including capital planning, refresh cycles, and total cost of ownership.
Set the direction for hybrid infrastructure and drive the workload strategy between on-premise, colocation, and cloud.
Own availability, capacity planning, and disaster recovery, including business continuity testing.
Lead data center operations, consolidation, or exit programs as the strategy requires.
Own enterprise networking, including WAN, SD-WAN, and connectivity to cloud providers.
Partner with Security to harden the estate and meet audit and compliance obligations.
Own vendor, carrier, and hardware relationships, including contract negotiation and renewals.
Drive automation and modern operations practices to reduce manual work and unplanned outages.

Requirements

10 or more years in IT infrastructure, with 5 or more years leading infrastructure teams at manager, director, or above.
Proven ownership of an enterprise infrastructure strategy and its capital and operating budget.
Deep, hands-on background across compute, storage, virtualization, and enterprise networking.
Experience running hybrid environments spanning on-premise or colocation and at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Demonstrated ownership of a data center consolidation, migration, or exit program.
Strong grounding in disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability design.
Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.
Track record of building, leading, and retaining a technical team.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
