About the role

Based at one of our marquee locations, the Vice President of Hospitality Strategy role works closely with our partners to build and implement a food and beverage experience unique to the location—providing memorable experiences for every fan who enters our gates. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and dynamic leader who is able to define a compelling vision that inspires others to bring their best selves to work each day. They will be an important figurehead for Levy at your location, demonstrating passion, inclusivity, and innovation. Most importantly, you’ll be a nice person who people want to work with and for.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the location team, proactively coaching and motivating team members to deliver their best.
  • Build a strong partnership with our onsite partner and develop a shared hospitality vision for the location.
  • Deliver against financial goals and strategic priorities.
  • Oversee and project manage major technology implementations or renovations.
  • Use available data and insights to continually enhance the experience delivered to fans and team members.
  • Work in partnership with partners and regional leadership to develop the location strategic plan.
  • Represent Levy and business objectives at partner meetings, networking, and building relationships with key partners and vendors.
  • Lead activities to implement technological and service initiatives that differentiate the location and create a unique guest experience.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety and sanitation across all activities at the location.
  • Review financial reports and develop action plans to achieve business goals.
  • Complete team member performance reviews, including career development planning and compensation.
  • Support business development by actively engaging with partners, vendors, and guests.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and administrative work corresponding with role responsibilities.
  • Review and process expense reports submitted by team members in Concur.
  • Interview applicants for roles requiring hiring consideration and approval.
  • Oversee menu and service development projects in collaboration with culinary leadership and partners.
  • Oversee the season planning process to ensure alignment with Levy and partner expectations and goals.
  • Coach team members for optimal performance and engagement.
  • Work with the legal department to ensure all contracts and agreements are authorized and maintained.
  • Conduct manager meetings to engage, inform, and build alignment.
  • Hold team one-to-one meetings to ensure continuous communication and engagement.
  • Oversee project management of construction or refurbishment activity at the location.
  • Conduct event walks interacting with team members, guests, partners, and VIPs.
  • Identify and plan for management support needs when business exceeds current resources.
  • Implement an emergency response plan at the location and oversee required training.
  • Manage the Location recognition program “Levy Legends” through leadership promotion and participation.
  • Conduct building safety walks to maintain an outstanding level of safety and cleanliness.
  • Complete progressive discipline with the leadership team to hold team members accountable and improve future performance.
  • Meet with sponsors and contractors for F&B alliances in the building to ensure all business needs are represented.
  • Oversee closing/sign-off on payroll on a bi-weekly basis for team members.
  • Manage POS deployment/tech initiatives as business dictates, overseeing training and implementation of new systems.
  • Participate in Governance Meeting presentations to network, learn, and represent Levy’s culture and business goals.
  • Plan and manage budget and P&L to support optimal financial achievement.
  • Engage in engagement planning with the leadership team so our team feels supported by and committed to Levy.
  • Support career development and progression mapping for managers and key hourly employees to build internal talent bench.
  • Where applicable, meet with other marketplace leaders to ensure clear lines of communication between Levy accounts.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in Hospitality or Retail.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management is preferred.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Understanding of financial concepts.
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends in line with the event schedule.
