VICE PRESIDENT OF GRANT DEVELOPMENT

About the role

The Vice President of Grant Development will lead our grant acquisition and management strategy, enhancing the organization's ability to secure funding from government, private foundations, and corporate sources. This role is pivotal in expanding our funding base, driving strategic initiatives, and supporting the mission-critical projects of the organization. The VP will oversee the grant writing team, manage relationships with funders, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive grant-seeking strategy.
• Lead, mentor, and expand the grant writing team.
• Build and maintain relationships with key funders and stakeholders.
• Oversee the research, identification, and securing of new funding opportunities.
• Manage the full lifecycle of grants, from proposal writing to compliance and reporting.
• Collaborate with various departments to align grant opportunities with organizational goals and projects.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the submission of all grant applications.
• Monitor changes in grant regulations and requirements to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in grant writing and management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a grant development team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience working in nonprofit, education, or government sectors.
• Extensive network of contacts in the grant funding community.
• Certification from the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI) or similar.
