Vice President of Finance

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to the CEO, COO, and Board.
  • Provide insight into company performance, capital efficiency, and long-term financial planning.
  • Support executive decision-making through financial analysis and strategic forecasting.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, scenario modeling, and financial planning activities.
  • Develop scalable financial planning processes to support organizational growth.
  • Support pricing analysis, revenue forecasting, renewals, and unit economics initiatives.
  • Oversee accounting operations in collaboration with outsourced accounting partners.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance.
  • Manage tax coordination, audit readiness, internal controls, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Build scalable financial systems, controls, and operational processes.
  • Support development of internal finance infrastructure as the business grows.
  • Help define the roadmap for future finance team expansion while remaining deeply involved operationally.
  • Partner with Product, Commercial, Client Success, People, and Legal teams on financial planning and operational alignment.
  • Support investor communications, capital planning, and future fundraising readiness as needed.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience.
  • Senior finance leadership experience within high-growth SaaS, fintech, or technology-enabled businesses.
  • Experience building finance functions in Series A+ or growth-stage startups.
  • Strong expertise across FP&A, accounting oversight, financial operations, and strategic finance.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience partnering closely with CEOs, COOs, and Boards.
  • Strong ownership mentality and comfort operating in less structured environments.
  • Experience with financial tools such as QuickBooks, Brex, Ramp, Carta, and HubSpot or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
  • MBA, CPA, or related credentials preferred.
  • Preferred background experience within benefits, wellness, or financial wellbeing industries.
  • Familiarity with global financial operations and multi-currency environments beneficial.

Pay

Salary range: $200,000–$275,000 USD.
