Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to the CEO, COO, and Board.
- Provide insight into company performance, capital efficiency, and long-term financial planning.
- Support executive decision-making through financial analysis and strategic forecasting.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, scenario modeling, and financial planning activities.
- Develop scalable financial planning processes to support organizational growth.
- Support pricing analysis, revenue forecasting, renewals, and unit economics initiatives.
- Oversee accounting operations in collaboration with outsourced accounting partners.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance.
- Manage tax coordination, audit readiness, internal controls, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Build scalable financial systems, controls, and operational processes.
- Support development of internal finance infrastructure as the business grows.
- Help define the roadmap for future finance team expansion while remaining deeply involved operationally.
- Partner with Product, Commercial, Client Success, People, and Legal teams on financial planning and operational alignment.
- Support investor communications, capital planning, and future fundraising readiness as needed.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience.
- Senior finance leadership experience within high-growth SaaS, fintech, or technology-enabled businesses.
- Experience building finance functions in Series A+ or growth-stage startups.
- Strong expertise across FP&A, accounting oversight, financial operations, and strategic finance.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience partnering closely with CEOs, COOs, and Boards.
- Strong ownership mentality and comfort operating in less structured environments.
- Experience with financial tools such as QuickBooks, Brex, Ramp, Carta, and HubSpot or similar platforms.
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
- MBA, CPA, or related credentials preferred.
- Preferred background experience within benefits, wellness, or financial wellbeing industries.
- Familiarity with global financial operations and multi-currency environments beneficial.
Pay
Salary range: $200,000–$275,000 USD.
