Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive management and private-equity sponsors to drive strategic planning, financial forecasting, and business performance improvement.
- Develop and communicate short- and long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Provide financial support for growth initiatives, M&A activity, and new product or market expansion.
Financial Planning, Analysis & Forecasting
- Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models to support scenario planning, profitability analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
- Deliver clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to drive performance and accountability across departments.
Financial Operations & Controls
- Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance functions.
- Ensure robust internal controls and financial reporting processes in compliance with GAAP.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, insurance brokers, and financial advisors.
- Oversee all banking relationships, including treasury management and credit facilities.
- Review, comment on, and approve business contracts and agreement documents in coordination with internal stakeholders and legal counsel as appropriate.
- Manage insurance-related matters, including policy administration, claims management, and ensuring appropriate company coverage.
- Oversee administration and compliance of the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
- Implement scalable systems and processes to support growth and efficiency.
Capital Structure & Investor Relations
- Manage capital structure and liquidity, including relationships with equity and mezzanine lenders.
- Support board reporting, investor communications, and covenant compliance.
- Manage communications and reporting with ACG members and other financial stakeholders as required.
- Lead analysis and preparation for potential recapitalizations, exits, partnerships, and acquisitions.
Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role preferably within a PE-backed or growth-stage company.
- Proven expertise in forecasting, FP&A, cash management, and financial operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing both equity and debt/mezzanine structures.
- Strong understanding of technology business models (recurring revenue or hardware/software hybrid preferred).
- Experience reviewing commercial contracts, managing insurance programs, and overseeing banking relationships.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- High integrity, strategic thinker, and proactive problem solver with a bias for action.
- Experience in the Media and Entertainment market sector preferred.
